So basically, it all started when I found this picture of a cosplay on FaceBook --> www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…

It's a really good cosplay of the characters Rei, Saeko, and Shizukawa from the famous anime Highschool Of The Dead (HOTD), but as I scrolled through the comments I got more and more frustrated. Why? Because of most of the girls saying that it wasn't "real cosplay" and that the woman should be trying to look like anime girls instead of skanks.

Excuse me? HOTD is an ECCHI - full of big boobs, erotic scenes, and skimpy clothing. What are these three girls doing wrong in their cosplay? NOTHING! That's a great representation of the girls in the series, and I personally think they did an amazing job!

Another thing that pisses me off is when girls do a gender-bent cosplay of a main character and make that particular character look more feminine - oh, I'm sorry, sexy. Like in this gender-bent version of Ezio Ballatore from the Assassin's Creed game series --> www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…

While I will agree that girl looks damn fine in that cosplay, it doesn't mean that she's doing anything wrong by showing off a bit more skin then the original character. But let's face it - male game characters tend to wear more clothing then female ones. And really, even if she did Ezio's cosplay by the books and simply formed it to her body, she would still look sexy as hell and there would still be enviest feminists claiming that she made the cosplay too much about showing off her body or some stupid shit like that.

Seriously, women, lay off on the negative comments about women's cosplays JUST because they are having fun being creative with their cosplay, which isn't that what cosplay is all about?

I am a woman, and I don't have the body for that type of cosplay, but I'm not going to call someone else a skank or a whore just because they want to wear a sexy cosplay that they can pull off with the sexy body I don't have.
